While our specialty is building ICF homes, Yorktown Construction takes on all sorts of other projects as well. Here is just a small sample of the diversity of projects we have taken on over the past 20 years.
This is a slide show of a project which involved constructing an ICF foundation and then transplanting an unused cottage onto the new foundation, and building an adjoining section between the structures. We enjoy the challenge of specialized projects like this one.
There is a short video clip taken during part of the move in our multimedia section of our web site.
This was the shell of a building we built and closed in, in collaboration with another group of builders who finished the exterior and interior of the home. These are reasonably quick to erect using I.C.F. technology and techniques we've adopted to become more and more profecient at, while still adhering to our "no corners-
In this case, a home was positioned and secured such that we were able to build an ICF foundation underneath it, over a period of time and several phases. This old farm house now has a much drier and more comfortable basement that it ever had.
We've done smaller foundations and hybrid additions like
decks, bilding extensions, and even build pole barns.
We've installed new windows, done
large scale home rennovations, what
ever a home owner's needs might be.
In summer or winter, if weather
will permit us, we'll take on the project.
